First ever visit to Madame Wax? Here’s what to expect…

So, this is your first visit?

Well, a big high five to you for making the best decision you could have made this year! Unlike other beauty salons, we specialise in waxing – nothing else. It’s one of the reasons why we have got a reputation for offering “the best bikini wax in Cardiff”.

Our specialist skills and years of experience mean your wax will be as quick and pain-free as we can possibly make it.

As soon as you walk through the door you should expect to receive a very friendly welcome and from there on your Madame Wax journey begins! You’ll be asked to take a seat in one of our comfy chairs, but try not to fall asleep because we’ll need you to fill out a consultation form on our tablet (if you’re not tech-savvy a member of the team can help you). You will be offered refreshments before your appointment and we have even got a retail area where you can have a nosey and buy some fantastic ingrown hair treatments and more.

The new normal

Due to Covid-19 things are a little different at Madame Wax for the time being. To ensure your safety as well as ours you will be required to:

  • Wear a face mask during the time you are here.
  • Sanitise your hands upon arrival.
  • Have your temperature taken upon arrival.
  • Use the hand sanitiser located throughout the salon.
  • Follow the arrows on the floor that will take you to a comfy seat while you wait.

And we will be required to:

  • Wear a facemask/visor.
  • Use a disposable apron.
  • NEVER ever double-dip in our wax pots (we’ve never done that anyway).
  • Wear disposable gloves.

We have also removed towels from our treatment beds and replaced them with disposable couch roll. But don’t worry, the beds are just as comfy!

Unfortunately, we don’t have the room here for you to bring anyone or anything extra with you, so can you please come alone unless you need to bring your carer and only have minimal belongings on you. So as tempting as it is, please try to keep the shopping spree till after your wax and leave your mam at home.

Unfortunately, if you are in your first trimester of pregnancy (first 12 weeks) sadly we cannot wax you due to insurance reasons. Also, if you are using or have used a course of Roaccutane or Accutane you will have to wait 6 months from finishing the course before you start waxing.
